Description
Job DescriptionAs a Process Coach in Final Assembly, you'll lead manufacturing teams while ensuring optimal production performance across our automated powertrain assembly lines. You'll serve as both a technical leader and people manager, responsible for supervising assembly operations, maintaining equipment uptime, and driving team performance to meet production targets while ensuring the highest quality standards for powertrain components.
You'll oversee daily production activities while developing and executing comprehensive operational excellence programs. Your role encompasses team leadership, production planning, quality assurance, and safety management. You'll be instrumental in maintaining operational safety through team training, equipment oversight, and proactive management practices that ensure a safe and productive working environment for all personnel.
Responsibilities
People Management : • Manage continuous improvement system including Ideas and Kaizen programs, ensuring proper capture, implementation, and recognition processes • Foster stable work environment based on organizational behaviors and values, leading cross-functional teams including technicians, operators, plant personnel, and union representatives • Manage knowledge transfer and process training through evaluation and capability development programs • Maintain "Hourly Connection" communication protocols to ensure real-time operational awareness • Administer e-file system including level changes and labor conflict resolution follow-up
Team Leadership & Production Management: • Lead and supervise assembly teams across multiple shifts, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to achieve production targets and quality objectives • Coordinate daily production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to meet powertrain assembly targets while maintaining quality standards • Conduct team meetings, safety briefings, and continuous improvement sessions to maintain high team engagement and operational awareness
Equipment & Technical Oversight: Supervise operation and performance of complex powertrain assembly equipment including material handling systems, torque stations, leak test equipment, engine assembly lines, transmission assembly systems, and robotic units
Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Maintain production records, equipment performance data, and team performance metrics to support operational analysis and improvement initiatives • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, and safety enhancements in powertrain assembly operations

Qualifications
Education: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering • Lean Manufacturing certification or Six Sigma training preferred
Experience: • Minimum 1-3 years of manufacturing experience and supervisory or team leadership roles • Proven experience in automotive powertrain assembly or similar high-precision manufacturing environments • Background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and production management
Leadership & Management Skills: • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop manufacturing teams • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration • Experience with performance management, training, and employee development • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environments • Experience working with union environments and labor relations
