Requirements
Major Responsibilities:
Bechtel is looking for an energetic, passionate and entrepreneurial thought leader with proven experience with customer engagement in the mining industry and the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction business. This involves:
Having a customer-centric focus, with the ability to drive value creation,
Builds and maintains professional relationships with key contacts, customer organizations, strategic vendors, and partners,
Keeps informed of customers' present and future plans for growth, projects, and programmatic and technical requirements,
Engaging with key customers to understand specific business needs and identifying a solution that is centered on having an impact,
Develops bid and proposal strategies, including, setting the story line for proposals, win plan development, teaming recommendations, and creative value proposition articulation.
Performs Business Development administerial duties such as, prepares and manages proposal budgets, actively manage the development of proposals, and manage the internal governance processes.
Actively builds a personal network and participates in industry and trade associations
Coordinate and collaboration with Bantrel Co., a Bechtel affiliate, for development within Canada
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience. Preference for:
Technical engineering degrees and experience working as a project or study manager.
Experience working in the EPC/CM business.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Industry Expertise – Strong understanding of the mining industry, market trends, and competition. Familiarity with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Construction Management services.
Market Analysis – Knowledge of market research methods, data analysis, and the ability to screen the fit of opportunities.
Business Development and Marketing core principles – Understanding of relationship management, key buying factors, positioning, customer advocacy, value creation, creative and technical writing, and contract negotiations.
Business Strategy – Have a strong understanding of strategic goal setting, financial metrics, and growth strategies.
