Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implementation: Create and manage database structures that align with user requirements and business needs.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Data Management: Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, and dictionaries; perform data migration and transformation processes.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage database backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and system administrators to ensure data integrity and support application development.
- Security: Protect databases against unauthorized access and threats, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation related to database design, configuration, and performance metrics.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and convert it into actionable insights.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: 11+ years of experience in database engineering or administration roles, with familiarity in cloud databases, cross domain solutions, and big data environments.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in a related computer science area with 10+ years of data engineering experience with related experience within the last 2 years, or 15+ years of experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
