Description
Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking candidates for 2026 summer internships supporting all aspects of the engineering development and manufacturing lifecycle. At BAE Systems, we deliver a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.
Opportunities exist supporting a variety of efforts in engineering development, integration, test and transition to production efforts on complex electronic and mechanical systems.
Roles and Responsibilities may include:
•Provide engineering support to the design, development and selection of basic hardware or software components utilizing fundamental engineering principles, theories and techniques.
•Obtain working knowledge of company tools. Perform analyses and compile data for investigation by senior engineering personnel.
•Assist in the design, fabrication or testing of prototype hardware or software. Document results for review by senior engineering personnel.
•Support assemblers, technicians and inspectors for manufacturing issues on new and existing products.
•Participate in and document corrective action requests using 9 Step problem solving methodology.
•Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Internships at BAE Systems feature additional opportunities including:
• Networking with BAE Systems employees and interns.
• Informational sessions on a variety of topics exclusively for interns.
In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program for Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.
- Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $44200 - $59700
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
