This is a Quality operations-based role that supports our Sharonville Transmission Plant which builds the transmissions that go into our top selling Ford products such as Super Duty, F-150 through F-750, Expedition, Navigator, Transit, Commercial Vehicles (U-Haul, Buses) and many more. Our plant also builds BEV Ring Gears that support the new electric F-150 lighting. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a member of the Site Quality team and assist in reimagining how Quality lends support to the manufacturing team, as we modernize the plant floor with new technology to reduce complexity and increase efficiency.
In this position...
As a member of the Plant Quality team, you are directly responsible for maintaining the computer-based gauging systems that keep manufacturing production lines running. Your job responsibilities will require you to provide support that include technical troubleshooting, data analysis & problem resolution for the applications & infrastructure that the plant uses to produce transmissions for Ford and Lincoln vehicles globally.

Responsibilities
What you'll do...
- Provide IT support for a multi-shift operation, including flexible availability for days, nights, and weekends.
- Support the Gauge and Layout team with computer-based gauging systems inspection.
- Install CPUs and hard drives on computerized gauge benches.
- Perform backup imaging and restoration of hard drives for gauging systems.
- Modify software programs to accommodate Dimensional Control Plan (DCP) changes.
- Write and maintain programs for Zeiss and Klingelnberg measurement equipment.
- Set IP addresses and configure PLCs and CNC systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Keyence, ABB, Toshiba).
- Support plant floor technologies including control systems and automation equipment.
- Access and interpret blueprints to determine measurement characteristics.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in support of quality inspection systems.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers, engineers, and the gauge repair team to troubleshoot and optimize inspection systems.
The successful candidate will have or be willing to quickly learn the following items:
- Understand the mechanics of all gauges and master's and be able to re-set and master any gauge in the plant
- Operational knowledge of all measuring devices in the G&LO lab
- Ability to access and read blueprints to determine measurement characteristics
- AutoCAD
- Calypso 2024
- Zeiss PVM code
Qualifications
You'll have...
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 or more years' experience in Microsoft Office to include, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Even better, you may have...
- Understand the mechanics of all gauges and master's and be able to re-set and master any gauge in the plant
- Operational knowledge of all measuring devices in the G&LO lab
- Ability to access and read blueprints to determine measurement characteristics
- AutoCAD
- Calypso 2024

- Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Ford-specific systems and processes.
- Knowledge of transmission manufacturing and quality control systems.
- Experience working with DCPs and gauge calibration processes.
- Tool and Die experience a plus
- CAD/CAM and Calypso experience a plus

This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7 and 8.
