This position provides an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic Finance Team that uses data-driven influence to drive achievement of Corporate goals and objectives. In this position, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate analytical expertise and leadership potential to senior levels of finance and operating management.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, operations (manufacturing, procurement, transportation), engineering, legal, and IT, to ensure alignment of business objectives and to understand and solution of key issues
- Supporting all accounting-related activities including month, quarter, and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP
- Developing & leading accounting processes and recommending solutions to optimize accounting efficiency
- Supporting daily financial operations performed by financial analysts which include:
- Developing physicals-based predictive modeling and analysis to forecast business outcomes and to support critical decision making and strategic planning
- Providing real-time, impactful key performance measures to operations (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Developing Annual Budget and Multi-Year Business Plan with business partners which includes:
- Physicals-based plans to deliver cost targets
- "Should cost" assessments to drive the budget process
- Special studies to evaluate financial impact of strategic changes
- Preparing financial analysis and collaborating with cross-functional team to drive cost savings
- Maintaining effective internal controls and financial procedure
- Facilitating the use of advanced financial tools to enable improved delivery of responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFA, or CMA preferred; Manufacturing Experience Preferred
- Significant knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards coupled with internal control mindset
- Proficiency with financial and accounting software, ERP systems and MS Office; Preferable advanced Excel skills along with knowledge of other analytical tools (e.g. Alteryx, Power BI etc)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex business processes with high level of attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work with large data sets
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and budgeting with financial modeling skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well across multiple functions, and willing team player; ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization; Strong presenter
- Self-Starter and willing learner who is well organized and able to manage concurrent projects
