As an In-Vehicle Software Ford Champ, you will be responsible for managing all electronic module software, including releases and in-field support. This role involves executing the Software Change Management Process (SWCM) to ensure all software releases across vehicle programs (development, production, and service) comply with corporate product development standards.

The IVS Champ ensures that Design and Release (D&R) Engineers and suppliers adhere to module programming and configuration specifications by integrating Worldwide Engineering Release System (WERS) part numbers into embedded software, aligning with the Software Announcement Document (SWAD) in the SWCM Tool. They also ensure D&Rs provide all necessary software deliverables and that the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) receives accurate, validated service data for software reprogramming during customer repairs.

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

• Contributing to agile tool development and innovation disclosures aimed at reducing warranty issues.
• Managing the software change process and maintaining critical software release data within our IVS system.
• Creating and validating software structures, ensuring compliance with delivery plans and guiding engineers and suppliers.
• Learning to implement new features in our IVS tool through testing and user story creation.
• Ensuring the integrity of software in sold vehicles by managing the IVS database and verifying supplier compliance with programming specifications.
• Utilizing JIRA Cloud to support software releases, address end-of-line alarms, and resolve field claims.

Qualifications

What you'll need:

• Demonstrated affinity for the automotive sector, with a specific focus on electronic systems and programming.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal, at a proficiency level exceeding 90%.
• Bachelor's student in Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Skilled in Python programming, ideally with front-end development experience.
