Description
Job DescriptionBAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Logistics Analyst II for our GOCO (government owned contractor operated) facilities located in Radford, VA.
- This position is 100% on-site at Radford, VA location.
- This position will require up to 10% of travel.
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials.
- Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, defects, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Prepare shipments for conveyance, determine most economical and efficient shipping method, select appropriate shipping container, and packs item to ensure safe delivery.
- Check items to be shipped against request to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
- Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous improvement objectives, and safety/environmental standards
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years work experience or equivalent education/experience
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) policies and procedures
- Ability to support a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to develop and implement organizational changes as required to meet a changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient use of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in Supply Chain
- Experience in MMAS Compliance
- Experience in a GOCO (Government owned contractor operated) environment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $60076 - $102130
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
