BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Logistics Analyst II for our GOCO (government owned contractor operated) facilities located in Radford, VA.

• This position is 100% on-site at Radford, VA location.
• This position will require up to 10% of travel.

Responsibilities:

• Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials.
• Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, defects, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Prepare shipments for conveyance, determine most economical and efficient shipping method, select appropriate shipping container, and packs item to ensure safe delivery.
• Check items to be shipped against request to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
• Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
• Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous improvement objectives, and safety/environmental standards

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years work experience or equivalent education/experience
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) policies and procedures
• Ability to support a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to develop and implement organizational changes as required to meet a changing environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proficient use of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in Supply Chain
• Experience in MMAS Compliance
• Experience in a GOCO (Government owned contractor operated) environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $60076 - $102130

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
