As an Mass Properties AI Ford Champ, you will contribute to the development and implementation of IT and AI-driven tools, directly impacting vehicle performance, fuel economy, and regulatory compliance by ensuring accurate and timely mass properties data. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a critical area of vehicle engineering, leveraging advanced technologies to replace manual work and proactively prevent potential issues.
Responsibilities
What you'll do:
- AI/IT Tool Development for Efficient Weight Data Management: The role involves assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of IT and AI-powered tools specifically aimed at improving the efficiency and accuracy of vehicle weight data management.
- Application of AI/ML for Predictive Mass Modeling and Target Setting: This includes supporting the use of AI/ML concepts to develop predictive models for vehicle weight at early design stages, contribute to tools for setting and tracking weight targets, and analyze weight changes at critical development milestones.
- Process Optimization, Data Verification, and Cross-functional Collaboration: Responsibilities extend to identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation to optimize weight data management processes, developing tools for Design Verification (DV) and Production Validation (PV) of vehicle weight, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions effectively.
Qualifications
What you'll need:
- Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Computer), Data Science, Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline.
- 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts through coursework, academic projects, or self-study.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for working with complex data sets.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
