The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the area of microelectronics beginning with the Fall 2026 semester. We particularly seek individuals with a strong background in analog / RF electronics, integrated circuit design, 2.5D / 3D packaging or heterogeneous integration. The individual selected for this position should demonstrate the potential to excel as a teacher in both undergraduate and graduate courses, secure funding to support a research program, mentor graduate students, and publish research results in the appropriate scholarly outlets.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or a closely related field at the time employment begins. We particularly seek candidates who are eligible to participate in research activities involving controlled unclassified information and ITAR/EAR restrictions and possess or be able to obtain a security clearance. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Excellent communication skills are required.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has 29 full-time faculty members and enrolls approximately 560 undergraduates (freshmen through senior) and 120 graduate students.
