BAE Systems currently has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Driver located in Haleakala, Maui, HI. In this role, theDriver operates all vehicles as assigned by the GEODSS site management including, but not limited to passenger vans, sedans, and utility vehicles. Provide safe (distraction-free) and pleasant driving performances for passengers to and from the site. Due to extended crew hours, for crew safety during the drive, crew often prefers to rest so a pleasant driving experience is often a quiet driving experience. Obey all posted precautions, speed limits, and county, state, and National Park service laws.

Responsibilities include:

• Operates company assigned vehicles to transport crews to and from the GEODSS site from Makawao to the summit of Haleakala
• Notify management of any non-compliant issues and unsafe or hazardous vehicle conditions which may jeopardize the safety of your passengers or others before departure

This is a part-time position with the following schedule -
Tuesday: 10:30pm - 1:00am HST
Wednesday: 10:30pm - 1:00am HST
Saturday: 6:30am - 9:00am and 2:30pm - 5:00pm HST
Sunday: 6:30am - 9:00am and 2:30pm - 5:00pm HST

** Total hours per week is 24 with the opportunity for overtime

Hourly Pay: $24.19

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). It is a Union position with the IBEW Local 1260 - Maui.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Must be able to work at a 10,000-foot elevation at the summit of Haleakala
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
• Must be able to lift objects up to 40-pounds

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Basic vehicle maintenance understanding/knowledge
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to safely operate vehicles while transiting Haleakala Highway to and from the summit at an elevation of 10,000 feet occasionally in adverse weather conditions

Pay Information
This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
