As a Quality Analyst Engineer Ford Champ within OPD, you will be responsible for learning and applying advanced quality analysis techniques to identify trends, root causes, and solutions for warranty-related issues in ICE Engines. You will work closely with experienced Quality Assurance (QA) engineers, product development teams, and global stakeholders to translate data insights into actionable strategies. This position offers a unique chance to contribute directly to product reliability and customer loyalty, while developing a deep understanding of automotive systems and quality processes within a dynamic global environment.
Responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Developing comprehensive teardown and quality warranty reports, and visualizing complex data to generate actionable insights for early engineering and highly integrated systems.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Supporting quality project plans to reduce warranty claims, improving analysis processes using modern platforms like PowerApps and Power BI, and implementing automation opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Actively participating in global quality forums and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, particularly concerning ICE Engines.
Qualifications
What you'll need:
- Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
- 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to data investigation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and data manipulation techniques, including advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, macros).
- A general understanding of Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) and basic automotive systems.
- A positive attitude and strong commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with Quality tools such as 8D methodology, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and other problem-solving techniques.
- Exposure to or basic understanding of Six Sigma methodology for process improvement and quality management.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
