Job DescriptionUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Perform quality assurance activities for engineering design and developmental tasks, systems analysis and design, and software and/or hardware development, individual component level, sub-system to system level manufacturing, test and integration, etc. for all phases, systems, programs and or products.
The Enterprise Assurance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers critical assurance disciplines that protect and enable people, data and missions. We provide a comprehensive approach to managing risk across the enterprise for current and future information environments where the business and missions execute. We apply the use of innovative tools and robust processes to ensure mission and business success.
What You'll Do:
- Work as part of a team during all phases of the program lifecycle, supporting design and execution activities under the guidance of leadership and program personnel.
- Support major program milestone activities such as design reviews, testing, configuration control audits, and problem reporting and resolution.
- Interface with a broad range of program personnel including design, manufacturing, inspection and test engineering.
- Participate in resolving routine quality issues with support from team members and management. Document findings and contributes to reduction of reoccurring issues across the business.
- Participate in process improvement activities.
- Participate in audit activities, including both internal and external audits and third-party certifications.
- Participate in basic manufacturing activities, including manufacturing process plan reviews and shop order generation.
- Collect and review design and execution data, tracking program performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 2 years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- The candidate must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work in and contribute to a diverse and cross functional team environment.
- A demonstrated ability to learn aerospace and defense industry and government specifications and standards and the requirements contained therein that guide the design, build, and test of hardware.
- A demonstrated ability to learn Quality Engineering (QE) principles, tools, methods, and standards.
- Must be willing to take initiative, be able to complete tasks in a timely manner, and have good time management and organizational skills.
A DoD Interim Secret clearance will be required to start work and required to be maintained to continue work. Higher level clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
