Description
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Technical Expert to join our dynamic Quality Analytics team in Global Data Insight and Analytics (GDIA) organization. This position is for a recognized authority in signal processing and time series analysis, with a proven track record of developing novel ML models and a history of contributing to research. As the "GO-TO" individual for this discipline, you will be instrumental in discovering and implementing relevant technologies and processes to solve complex quality-related challenges. You will apply your deep expertise to various domains, including warranty analytics, and will be expected to learn and adapt quickly to new data and problem spaces.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key Technical Contributor by leading the discovery, development, and implementation of cutting-edge technology, processes, and business concepts in the quality analytics space.
- Apply your deep expertise in signal processing and machine learning to analyze complex warranty data, vehicle telematics, and other diverse datasets to uncover actionable insights.
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning and generative AI models into production to predict failures, identify root causes, and drive improvements in vehicle quality.
- Demonstrate initiative and capability by advising management on technology delivery and ensuring effective knowledge transfer across the team.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to your peers, guiding them in the delivery of technical objectives.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment by seamlessly switching between multiple high-impact projects across the enterprise, showcasing your adaptability and broad technical expertise.
- Regularly present complex findings and strategic recommendations to organizational leadership at appropriate levels.
- Volunteer and serve on relevant internal and external professional committees and societies, enhancing your professional growth and the organization's technical reputation.
Qualifications
The minimum requirements we seek:
- A Master of Science (M.S.) degree or academic equivalent in a discipline commensurate with the specialty, such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of extensive proficiency in the Python programming language for advanced data analysis and machine learning.
- 5+ years as a subject matter expert in signal processing and its application to real-world problems.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in developing and deploying machine learning models into a production environment.
Our preferred qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in a relevant technical field is highly preferred, such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals or conferences in the areas of machine learning or signal processing.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with generative AI concepts and tools.
- Proven ability to rapidly learn new concepts and apply machine learning methodologies to new and diverse domains.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role is remote unless you are located within 50 mile radius of a Ford Hub, which you will be required to commute on site 4x a week
