Job DescriptionFord Credit is searching for a Product Manager, who will build and implement features that support our Foundational Platforms, specifically focusing on Receivables products, that power experiences our customers across Europe & Mexico will love. These experiences will have the power to transform our relationship with our customers. You will be responsible for owning key features or whole product areas within these foundational systems, delivering these to market, measuring their success and then pushing for their continual improvement.
As a Product Manager, Foundational Platforms you will be responsible for the strategic direction and execution of our Foundational Receivables platforms, critical components of Ford Credit's core foundational systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring the platform's success and its stability across Europe and Mexico. You'll work with other product managers, engineers and product designers in a complex and matrixed environment whilst contributing to the roadmap of your area.
Responsibilities
You'll be expected to:
- Drive Platform Enhancements: Lead the development and implementation of platform enhancements, including new features and functionalities, to support our Foundational Receivables products.
- Maintain and Optimize: Ensure our Foundational Receivables products remain current and up-to-date by working closely with relevant teams to address technical updates and implement necessary changes.
- Roadmap Influence: Collaborate with key stakeholders to shape the development roadmap for Foundational Receivables platforms, advocating for Ford Credit-specific features and functionalities that enhance the platforms' capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders across European markets, including teams responsible for vehicle data, residual value services, and document management.
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Identify and define business and customer problems within the Foundational Receivables platforms, translating them into opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Prioritization & Execution: Develop and drive the product roadmap for the Foundational Receivables platforms, prioritizing initiatives to ensure maximum impact and alignment with business objectives.
- High-Quality Delivery: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and impactful launches, ensuring an exceptional internal and external customer experience.
- Performance Measurement: Continuously evaluate the performance of platform enhancements and features through quantitative and qualitative methods, ensuring they address the intended customer problems and deliver value.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain the overall quality of the Foundational Receivables platforms, ensuring world-class software delivery in every release.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with senior product leaders across Ford Credit to ensure the overarching product vision is realized.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Proven Core Systems Expertise: strong experience of working within product team, with a strong focus on platform. Demonstrated expertise in product management within a software or technology company, with a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Collaborative Leadership: Experience collaborating effectively within a matrixed team setup, including offshore engineering teams. Proven ability to influence and coordinate across various digital product services.
- Strategic Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and advocate for the product vision and strategy, particularly within the context of back-end digital services.
- Product Launch & Management: A proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products (front-end, back-end, or both) throughout their lifecycle.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Technically proficient with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: A strong data-driven approach to product prioritization, utilizing data and analytics to inform decision-making and roadmap development.
- Technical Acumen: Comfortable engaging in technical discussions and understanding the nuances of backend systems. Possesses a strong technical mindset and a desire to delve into the intricacies of software architecture and development.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Strong advocate for the voice of the customer (both internal and external), integrating this insight into the decision-making process.

- Adaptability & Initiative: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities. A self-starter who demonstrates initiative and self-drive to get the job done.
