Job DescriptionElectrician Journeypersons are paid a top hourly base rate of $53.00 per hour plus applicable shift, overtime, and holiday premiums.

As we continue our journey to establish the Oakville Assembly Complex as a Technical Centre of Excellence, we are seeking qualified applicants for opportunities within our skilled trade workforce for Electricians.
Responsibilities
YOUR IMPACT
- Adhere to all health and safety rules in compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards
- Maintain Equipment in a safe & efficient manner
- Assists other trades/operators as required
- Participates in the training of Electrical apprentices as required
- Participate in problem-solving meetings to help eliminate all downtime
- Coordinate die repair and preventative maintenance scheduling to meet job deadlines
- Generate and implement cost savings and process improvement suggestions
- Participate in problem-solving meetings to help eliminate all downtime
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have completed a recognized apprenticeship and hold a Certificate of Qualification (CofQ) 309A / 442A (if a Certificate of Apprenticeship has not been attained, applicants with 8 years of experience in the trade after receiving the CofQ will be considered).
- Must be able to work all shifts (days, afternoons, midnights) on a rotating schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge with PLC's (e.g., Allen Bradley, RSLogix 5000, Square D, Control Logix) servo controls and variable frequency drives (e.g., Rockwell Powerflex) is required
- Must be proficient in reading electrical blueprints and ladder logic prints, have knowledge of Ethernet, DH+, and RS Links/Logics
- Strong computer skills
- Experience in:
- Industrial controls, conveyance systems, sub-stations, motor control centers, power distribution panels, electrical starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Computerized maintenance management systems
- Multi-disciplined fast-paced work environment where Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, and Environment (SQDCPME) are the focus of all organizational objectives
- Troubleshooting electrical and robotic systems and equipment (e.g., Fanuc, Kawasaki, ABB, Siemens)
Note: Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.
