Job DescriptionSoftware Development Engineer

Lead software application for door module features and functions. Assist with internal strategies and specifications development. Manage supplier activities to implement, develop, validate, and deliver with discipline to support vehicle milestones. Perform vehicle testing to verify feature and functions. Utilize CAN tools and diagnostics to debug issues and verify fixes. Support warranty analysis and root cause issues and implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
- Lead product development milestone deliveries for software.
- Work in an Agile environment. Support PI planning. Manage software releases and content.
- Manage JIRA Epics and Stories to support Sagas and program increment deliveries
- Manage software interface definition between suppliers and requirements in JAMA
- Conduct design reviews with interfacing Ford activities and supplier engineering
- Lead traceability evidence from suppliers to demonstrate linkage of specifications, requirements breakdown and test cases to DFMEA controls for safety related items.
- Lead software release process and software change management
- Manage Engineering changes via JIRA, DCR's, cost approval, and software release in JFROG.
- Provide vehicle build support (e.g. Software Release Package, configurations, BreadBoards, HIL, Development builds, Pilot builds, etc.)
- Lead supplier activities to diagnose bugs, determine root cause, resolution, and verification.
- Identify and escalate critical delivery gaps (expose in JIRA)
- Perform Customer Acceptance Testing
- Lead software quality/warranty analysis and corrective actions
Qualifications
You'll have...
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering , Electrical Engineering , Computer Science or related foreign equivalency Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 3+ years of product development experience in the automotive industry
- 1+ years of experience with CAN tools such as Vector or Etas

- 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry
- 1+ years of experience with CAN tools such as Vector or Etas

This position is a salary grade 1.
