As an Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) Ford Champ, you will be responsible of of supporting the day-to-day activities of one Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) Engineer role: Site STA, Program STA or Resident STA (at Plant), working together with suppliers which produce and ship parts to Plants: Vehicle Assembly, ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) Assembly, e-Motor (Electrical Motor) Assembly, Axle Assembly and Transmission Assembly.
Responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Supporting critical supplier quality processes, such as tracking compliance to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) deliverables for new model launches.
- Assisting with complex capacity studies and analyzing Capacity Analysis Reports (CAR) to ensure suppliers meet uplift capacity requirements.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by applying key methodologies like Global 8 Disciplines (G8D), Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve quality issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Participating in important meetings and working on a special project to apply your acquired knowledge and leadership skills, benefiting the Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) team.
Qualifications
What you'll need:
- Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Science/ Engineering Degree.
- 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Program Management skills.
- Advanced analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration mindset.
- Knowledge of using Minitab statistical software.
- Knowledge of problem-solving tools: 8 Disciplines (8Ds), Six-Sigma-DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control).
- Knowledge of Automotive Standards desirable: IATF (International Automotive Task Force) 16949, AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) Core tools.
