As an Vehicle Hardware Integration Ford Champ, you will work closely with experienced engineers, gaining foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in supporting the critical interface between Program Management and Functional Engineering teams. You will learn the intricate processes that ensure the successful delivery of vehicle hardware targets, contributing directly to the development of Ford's cutting-edge automotive products.
Responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Program Planning and Target Management: The role involves assisting in defining program assumptions, communicating timing plans and milestones, maintaining alignment with product definitions, and supporting the achievement of vehicle hardware targets (e.g., cost, weight, performance) through the development and tracking of cost targets, roadmaps, and risk/opportunity registers.
- Design Verification, Compliance, and Deliverable Tracking: This includes managing Design Verification (DV) planning, ensuring functional target alignment, guaranteeing conformance to established engineering standards and design rules, tracking deliverable assessments, and developing recovery plans for potential delays.
- Prototype Build, Issue Resolution, and Launch Support: Responsibilities extend to supporting prototype builds, coordinating part procurement, assisting with issue resolution processes, managing assembly and supplier quality issues, supporting vehicle sign-off activities, and ensuring timely updates of critical program information for successful launch management.
Qualifications
What you'll need:
- Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly and concisely.
- Eagerness to learn, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Basic understanding or exposure to vehicle systems, engineering processes, or project management principles.
- Familiarity with CAD software, PLM tools, or data analysis tools.
