Main Objective:
Support the Maintenance Manager and provide technical expertise and project management contribution for manufacturing equipment and Manufacturing Execution System (MES). To define, implement, and improve total processes that are cost effective, achieve quality standards, and adhere to safety and ergonomic guidelines, emphasizing the electrical process controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical leadership and expertise in PLC and electrical process controls
Will serve as the PLC / Electrical support for critical AMI factory projects including large-scale MES implementation
Provide Maintenance guidance for project specifications, and machinery/equipment specifications
Effectively communicate project statuses and assist in maintaining project plans
Accountable to Maintenance Manager for successful project deliveries within timeline, budget and scope
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Technology or related field preferred
5 years of PLC programming experience preferred
2 years of equipment maintenance experience preferred
Prior PLC implementation experience preferred
Work experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Shop Floor management or related field preferred
Strong Project Management Experience preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
Experience with Allen Bradley, Industrial Ethernet, Profinet, Scada, and Siemens a plus
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Work with standard current computer applications
word processing,
spreadsheets,
QAD,
SAP.
Prefer experience maintaining CNC machines, mold machines, or other production related equipment pertaining to medical device manufacturing and an electrical background.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
