1928: DuPont purchases the Grasselli Chemical Company
1935: Pioneer Hi-Bred Corn Company is named
1942: Dow expands to Dow Chemical Canada, Ltd.
1964: Dow annual sales exceed $1 billion
1968: DuPont introduces Lannate methomyl insecticide
1970: Pioneer changes its name to Pioneer Hi-Bred international, Inc.
1972: Dow launches Lorsban insecticide
1997: Dow acquires 100% ownership of DowElanco and renames it Dow Agrosciences
1999: DuPont becomes 100% owner of Pioneer
2015: Dow and DuPont announce a definitive agreement under with the companies will merger and spin off into 3 independent companies
